“One Saturday morning, after an all night prayer session, I decided to go from the church to my post office box to get my mail.  After getting the mail and returning towards home, I suddenly heard the Lord speak to me telling me to turn around and go back to a fruit stand that I had just passed.  My first response in my heart was that I was so tired from the prayer meeting and really wanted to get home to rest.  I knew God had spoken to me so I said, “Lord, I know you want me to go back for a reason so I’ll turn around to see what you will say to me”.  Going back about two city blocks, I parked my vehicle and waited for my turn to speak to the vendor.  The vendor was an elderly gentleman, about 80 years old or so.  Upon introducing myself to the gentleman, he began to speak and God through him began to speak.  He first said that my mother was filled with the Holy Ghost through his ministry many years ago.  After pondering for a moment, he added something even more profound concerning my purpose and destiny in regards to ministry.  He said, “I knew your great-grand father and as a matter of fact he was my mentor”.  The gentleman I was speaking with was a pastor and had sat under the discipleship of my great-grand father.  This news was most stunning and I gave complete attention as he spoke.  What he was about to tell me, I was totally unprepared for…he sat under the tutorage of my great-grand father and he said "as a matter of factly, your great-grand father started a church in Red Oak, Texas”.
